Thankyou Thorne for breaking my brain.... gah. By all means keep writing cutie slutty cloud... atleast he's being slutty with characters in the same game as him...

Hell, so long as it has Zack in it I don't care... well, so long as Zack tops. :-P

Can't believe I just said that....

hmmm fangirl

Despite my recent protestations to Flidget that the teeter-totter of Apathy-vs-Fangirl was skewing back into the realm of Apathy... it seems I am writing again, dribs and drabs, here and there... put some new snips over in the Closet while I've been teaching, one of them Isaac, one of them Zack, so I figure I've covered my marketable figments for the week. I also revamped a short story I was working on for Mason & Simon and like it well enough now that I am putting it on the site, well, as soon as I update the site... which ought to be this month... maybe next month... guar. It's called Miracle #12 and is because I have this weird little idea that if I were to write a sequel to Looking for the Lost I thought it might be fun to do a short story for each of Sydney's first 25 miracles. Since its not every day a minor divinity walks on earth and all. The trick is thinking up 25 good ones. Half of them will probably just be him goofing around.

Sydney: Lookie! I made it rain frogs!
Mason: ... that is so not coming off with Windex...
Sydney: Your failure to be impressed wounds me deeply.
Mason: Never mind that, miracle me up a shovel, would you? Any Ideas? Come on, one time offer to contribute to zany antics... muahaha.

fond memories

Wooo Art Deco... This was one of the things I saw when I was in London! It was neat, especially the world's fair movies and MGM footage. If it tours near you, it's worth the 7 dollars, just try not to go at a peak time like I did :-P

09:09 p.m.

It struck me today, around 5pm, after wasting the better part of my day in airports, that I have all the lifestyle of a jetsetter with none of the perks... where is my fancy wardrobe and complimentary champeign I ask you... Corporate travel would be alot more fun if this were the 80's I can tell you that ^^. Had this strange idea as I ate my dinner at a diner alone, where I could pick up a marker pen ala some-saturday-morning-cartoon and draw in someone to talk to on the other side of my booth. I then pondered how I could always erase them if their conversation didn't manage to entertain to my high standards ^_^. I'm even picky with my figments lately it seems.

Links and Foo

So, first off, compliments of my alma mater, I give you the funniest article I've read all week... And what the hell, while I'm doing the link thing... I have to admit that due to the valliant efforts and bribery of Twig, GryphonCat and Changling, among others, I have succumbed to creating a fic blog may Flidget have mercy on my soul. Anyway I figure it's a bit tidier than just generating dozens of half baked html files, and is a handy place to stick things that don't have a home... I don't expect it to update very often, just every now and again... expect typos agogo since I don't run things through spellcheck on blogger, silly me. I'll try to remember to link to it from time to time, especially if there are Zack snippets since I know that's the only interesting stuff happening there right now. ^_^

In other news I'm watching a contest on TLC that pits two teams of suburbanites against one another in driving bucket-loaders, steamshovels, dozers and yard-cats around obstacle courses and crushing cars and the like. It rocks. I want to learn how to drive a steamshovel.

That's right.

woah!

Nothing like cruising the ol' bloggs after a week that clocked in something like 50 hours and probably more tomorrow... than seeing GiftArt complements of Gryphoncat! Dude! ThankYou! ahahaha. He's a bastard, but so much fun. Can I put this on my page? can I can I? shit I should just check my damn email too... haven't had the time since Sunday... I suck.

Since Flidget can't see this journal, would everyone be so kind as to wish her a happy birthday? On my behalf as well as adding your own good wished if you feel so inclined...

Wrote a new handydandy javascript to help organize my galleries, I guess this means that I'll really have to get cracking on the new weblayout.

Back in texas. Dead tired, the cats don't love me because they've gotten used to going to Twig for all their cuddling needs. I think I'll just crawl under my bed and pretend to be old socks. Old socks are under appreciated. They're stinky for one.

Ah well. New Grumpy elves crap, two pages anyway. Started writing some Sydney smut, we'll see if I get around to typing it out or atleast finishing it... probably not. I think I'll trade in being a fangirl in favor of overtime... except that I don't get paid for overtime... shit.

this here is Cactaur country

Apparently people in Phoenix are all about the cactus. They loooove their cactus... they use it instead of palmtrees on their divided highways, and all their parks (of which there are several) are nothing but these slender volcanic mountains covered in desert plant things and of course Cactuar... did I say cactaur? I meant seguaro. Whatever. I've also gone to the zoo... and driven around town... borrowed CrazyDan's digital camera and took pictures of meercats. I'll post one later.

Touristy things are hampered somewhat that the sun sets about an hour after I get off work, but I can say that 'Two Weeks Notice'is a cute if shallow movie, what can I say, Hugh Grant still has those little dimples that can coax me to his films... Best to watch if you're home sick and need a feelgood movie to lull you while the NyQuil kicks in...

Anyway, stop making fun of my ficblog angst, or when I get back to austin so help me god, I'm going to do something REALLY evil... like... hmmm. Dunno. but It'll be EVIL.

Say a bumpersticker today that said "I am crunchy, salty and good." I hope they have it in support of some nut company or something... otherwise I wonder at their intention.

Ah well, just me, my History Channel, and a not-quite-zack snippet. Go fig.

dude, going to Arizona with two days notice, well, counting yesterday. If teaching seminars didn't make my company a butt load of income, I'd tell them where to stick their last minute accomodations... As is I'm all packed and ready for phoenix, hopefully it won't be any colder than Texas.

who knows, maybe I'll get some writing done... Here's hoping I find an AOL8.0 CD in the airport somewhere... or hell maybe i'll find a Wallmart when I get to Phoenix. -_-; do we know anybody in Phoenix?

gotta love those vamps

Reasons to procrastinate from work on a Friday night go home at 9pm to battle your way to chapter 4 of BloodOmen2 (the upper city) #1: Kain gets some handsome new clothes *woooo momma* #2: Kain meets an old friend-turned-lacky-of-the-opposition. Below is not a spoiler, it's just bitching. But it amused me enough to share.

(this works a lot better if you practice your haughty, holier-than-thou british accents... god I love the voice acting in this game. Kain is bored, Marcus switches between bullying and petulant.)

Marcus: "So the rumors are true... you have returned..."
Kain: "...Marcus... my old friend..."
Marcus: "A poor choice of words. We were never friends, Kain."
Kain: "Will you sour this joyful reunion with old grudges...Admittedly we didn't part on good terms."
Marcus: "You tried to murder me!"
Kain: "I seem to have failed..."
Marcus: "You were jealous of my growing powers! Yet I was stronger than you knew... when you had gone I crawled from my haven and fled into hiding."
Kain: "That sounds like the Marcus I knew."
Marcus: "... so when the Serapham knights defeated you, I joined with the winning team."
Kain: "I always known you for a sneaking coward of an opertunist,Marcus. What a shame my poor aim cause you such suffering over the years."
Marcus: "You cannot defeat me Kain. My powers have grown! I can control a man's thoughts, subugate the will of all beingings and make them do my bidding..."
*tries a mental whammy on Kain*
Marcus: "What the... Impossible!"
*fails miserably, Kain is unimpressed.*
Kain: "What /have/ you been practicing on Marcus, dull mortal fools with minds full of commerce and dung? My mind is far stronger than /that/..."
Marcus:"No matter, if I can't control you I can still read your thoughts... you're off to find a bishop..."
Kain: "...clever trick..."
Marcus: "Ha. You'll never find your information! When you get there he'll be dead!"
Kain: "Not if I reach him first..."
*beatings commence*

Everyone glomp twig for buying me this marvelous bit of brain candy.

Lunar needs a clone

Mooncalf rules. No really... if it were up to her, we'd all be shot. Not that I'm saying that serial killers are 'cool' but yeah. go read the LJ it's funny as hell... and then go read BlackRose's fic snippet about AU Rinoa who needs to be imprisoned in the satellight much like Ultemecia. It's cool and very 'Minority Report' really.

I do not need a fic blog I do not need a fic blog I do not need a fic blog... shit.

About Twig's ranting about writing and goldfish. First of all, 'yeay goldfish!' Mullencamp heartily approves, especially if the goldfish tries to eat your friends as it flops around... second of all Lunar Writing.... it is... a cross between one of those boring logical proofs that you have to do in Numeric Theory class that seem to never add up, and a sleep toxin induced fugue state. The fugue comes at around 5am in the morning when I am half awake and go "huh, I had a dream about sydney with crazy clockwork wings..." and then 4 hours later I've managed to scribble up an outline that with a little handwaving has Dream == Plot on the last line. Well, that's a good day. Other days I just dream and dream and dream, and nothing snaps together at the end and I've slept way too late.

I do not need a fic blog, it would just be full of Zack bullshit moments...

Just found out this afternoon that I think (mostly sure) that I am being sent to Arizona (or was it Utah?) next week to teach a class to some company. This sorta puts crimps in my PLANS for next week, projects and eating the leftovers in the fridge and stuff.

I do not need a fic blog it'll just become a big 'grumpy elves' runoff puddle of random Miwoi babbling... or Ko being badass and aloof... or shit. I hate skipping anime club for work... I'm going to go have a doughnut.

Narf

because people (namely Twig) have been yelling at me on behalf of others (namely Ris) I appologetically offer the 'write me' link as an addendum to my copious sidebar. Digging around the website for my addy is abit too much work even for me, although I'm pretty sure it's out there... somewhere. Maybe not. Sorry.

I am so tired today, I can't even play Kain... can't think of plot for my silly Martin fic... can't do anything but... mindlessly shade grumpy elves... maybe I should just post the scripts... then you could all /imagine/ how it's supposed to look...

02:05 p.m.

Have Twig's cold, will kill her later. Her marvelous purchase of BloodOmen2 will backfire on her as my joy in recieving the fab gift is now transformed into testerone driven blood rage... Currently ripping the guts out of a test-machine at work for fun and profit as I ponder the rest of my late shift, and a title for the 'grumpy elves' story I am intermittently drawing... Thorne has given some good ideas... my figments have tossed a few more in... go on.. take a gander at the idea thus far and see if you're inspired with a name... I'll listen to anything short of 'the cone heads' since that's even worse than 'Lunar's grumpy elves'...

maybe this'll motivate me to work on something... like a title page, yeah... or the next section. Or go home and guide Kain into bleeding off more villagers.

Dream to be KING

Testing?

Decided a motivation for a new website would be a new journal. So here I am celebrating the arrival of my DVD, which I'll probably be poping in shortly. I was going to do Zack, but hell, he's patient, he can wait. I'll just write him another snippet tomorrow. Added Changling to my links, this way I'll remember to say 'hi' more often... doht.
